Market Alert: ASX200 at Critical Support – Reversal or Further Fall?
CZR Resources Ltd (ASX: CZR) has received an unsolicited, non-binding, and conditional takeover proposal from Gold Valley Iron Ore Pty Ltd, offering AU$0.31 per share via an on-market bid. The proposal is contingent on Gold Valley securing funding and the termination of CZR’s existing Bid Implementation Agreement (BIA) with Fenix Resources. Despite a letter of support from an undisclosed global commodities trader, Gold Valley has not provided concrete funding proof. Additionally, the offer lacks legal commitment, raising doubts about its credibility. The CZR Board assessed the proposal and concluded it is not superior to the binding Fenix Offer, which is currently open to shareholders. Directors unanimously continue to support the Fenix Offer, which includes a share swap at an implied value of AU$0.30 per CZR share. CZR shareholders are encouraged to accept Fenix’s proposal by 21 March 2025 to benefit from the increased offer consideration.
