Corazon Mining Limited (ASX: CZN) announces a new Agreement with Marcel Colomb First Nation, replacing the 2018 deal for Lynn Lake Project. This new agreement establishes a more distinct collaborative framework encompassing both Lynn Lake and the Fraser Lake Project (Fraser Lake). MCFN assumes a central role, fostering transparency and mutual respect between the parties and setting the stage for a durable partnership. It also explores potential economic gains for MCFN if Corazon resumes mining within their ancestral lands.
The agreement incorporates MCFN employment opportunities, business partnerships, training provisions, and an annual contribution tied to project exploration expenses. Operating within Treaty No. 5's adhesion area, MCFN members actively collaborate with Chief Colomb and Councilors for community growth and sustainable partnerships. Corazon's engagement with MCFN dates back to 2010, with the initial Exploration Agreement established in 2019.
