CAM has released its financial report for the year ending on June 30, 2023

Clime Capital Limited (ASX: CAM) has released its financial report, highlighting a significant improvement in investment income for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. The company reported a profit of AU$21,459,086, a remarkable turnaround from the AU$15,432,557 loss recorded in 2022. This positive shift is primarily attributed to substantial realized and unrealized gains on financial assets. Notably, net realized gains on financial assets at fair value through profit or loss increased by AU$11,192,643, compared to AU$5,634,871 in 2022. Furthermore, there were unrealized gains of AU$2,194,298 in financial assets at fair value through profit or loss, in contrast to the AU$29,580,837 loss in the prior year.

The after-tax profit from ordinary activities attributable to members amounted to AU$13,229,218, a stark deviation from the AU$11,824,831 loss in 2022. The company plans to maintain its quarterly ordinary dividend policy, with a portfolio focused on income generation from shares and yield-driven investments. Dividend capacity will be regularly assessed in response to prevailing economic conditions. Additionally, the portfolio generates franking credits, offering benefits to shareholders, and the company has implemented a buyback policy, resulting in the repurchase and cancellation of 1,377,814 ordinary shares and 1,043,835 Convertible Notes during the 2022/23 period.
