Australian Dollar Nears Year-End Low Amid US Dollar Strength

Dec 31, 2024

The Australian dollar (AUD) is on course to end the year at its weakest level since October 2022, currently trading at $US0.6228. Analysts attribute this decline to the sustained strength of the US dollar and potential tariff impacts on Australia’s key trading partners. Looking ahead, these factors are expected to exert further pressure on the AUD in 2025, adding to economic uncertainties.
