Ariana Resources (ASX: AA2) has commenced a 4,000m RC drilling program at its Dokwe Gold Project in Zimbabwe, which holds over 1Moz of gold. The 26-hole campaign targets four key zones to explore untested areas and identify potential for future resource expansion. The project’s mineralisation lies within major shear zones that currently account for only 10% of the total 12km strike length, highlighting significant upside potential. Initial assays are anticipated before year-end, with possible follow-up and metallurgical drilling at Dokwe Central.
Previous exploration, including over 10,000 soil samples, outlined several promising anomalies, guiding current drilling efforts. Historical high-grade intercepts from the Sinkwe and Siduli Pan prospects add further confidence in resource expansion. These results will support ongoing feasibility studies, potentially enhancing the project’s economic outlook and reinforcing Ariana’s growth in the southern African gold sector.
