APA Group Gains 4.1% on Regulatory Ruling for Pipeline

Oct 09, 2024

APA Group (ASX: APA) saw its shares rise by 4.1% following a favorable decision by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER). In a preliminary ruling, the AER stated that APA's South West Queensland Pipeline will not be subject to full price regulation. The regulator opted to maintain the current light regulation regime, allowing APA to retain more control over pricing. This outcome is seen as positive for the company, as it ensures operational flexibility and less stringent pricing oversight for the pipeline.
