Algorae Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: 1AI) has engaged HL Pharma to import and warehouse its proprietary cannabinoids and compounds for distribution to research partners. HL Pharma, an Australian company specializing in sourcing and supplying healthcare products, will handle the importation, storage, and distribution of cannabinoid compounds to Algorae's research partners while ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
The three-year agreement may undergo review and amendment by either party before the scheduled period ends. Initial orders include under-researched alternative cannabinoids, excluding CBD or THC, for studies in various medical indications. Algorae collaborates with La Trobe University and Monash University, focusing on pre-clinical studies for cannabinoid-based combination drug candidates (AI-116 and AI-168) targeting dementia and cardiovascular disease, comparing them to existing therapeutics for economic potential assessment.
