Aguia Resources Limited has made significant progress at the Santa Barbara Gold Project

Aguia Resources Limited (ASX: AGR) has commenced underground mining at its 100 % owned Santa Barbara Gold Project in Colombia after receiving all necessary approvals for concession contract 0-439C1. Underground development has started on the Mariana and Santa Barbara vein systems, which previously exposed gold-bearing quartz veins with average grades nearing one ounce per tonne. As part of early-stage operations, 25 tonnes of mineralized and 246 tonnes of waste material have been mined and delivered to the pilot processing plant. Crushing and milling of the ore are underway, with carbon precipitation in existing tanks scheduled shortly.

The company is expanding its processing capacity with additional agitator tanks to achieve throughput targets of 30 tpd, scaling to 50 tpd within two quarters. A new thickener and Merrill Crowe precipitation system are being installed, with commissioning expected by January 2025, supporting increased efficiency and gold recovery.
