ADX Energy Ltd (ASX: ADX) share the latest developments regarding the drilling operations for the Lichtenberg-1 gas exploration well. As of 6:00 am CET on the 14th of October 2024, preparations were underway to run electric line logs in the 8 ½ inch hole, with the current depth of the LICHT-1 well at 1905 meters measured depth. Following the logging process, the planned program includes running and cementing the 7-inch casing, transitioning to a new 6-inch hole size, drilling out of the casing shoe, and continuing drilling in the 6-inch hole. Notably, the LICHT-1 well, located in the ADX-AT-I license in Upper Austria, is being drilled using the RED Drilling & Services GmbH E-202 rig, the same rig that successfully drilled the recent Anshof-2A oil appraisal well.
These prospects, all covered by high-quality 3D seismic data, hold significant potential. Success in these drilling targets would strengthen ADX and enable it and its partner to establish a substantial reserve base for long-term gas production, further amplifying the importance of its current drilling operations.
