Actinogen Medical Limiteds depression trial has completed its final patient visit.

Actinogen Medical (ASX: ACW) announced that the final trial patient visit occurred yesterday in the UK. The top-line results for the XanaCIDD phase 2a clinical trial in patients with cognitive impairment in major depressive disorder are now expected to be available in the first half of August 2024.

It is a randomized, double-blind, proof-of-concept, placebo-controlled parallel group six-week trial involving 167 patients with persistent MDD and measurable cognitive impairment at baseline. Xanamem (10mg) or placebo is added to the existing antidepressant therapy or used as a stand-alone treatment in patients with a previous history of antidepressant treatment.
