ABS provides statistical data on managed funds industry

Australian Bureau of Statistics provided data on the assets and liabilities of financial institutions that pool funds for investment.

During the December 2022 quarter:

  • The total managed funds sector increased by AU$101.9 billion (2.4%) to AU$4,415.7 billion in assets under management.
  • Managed funds institutions' consolidated assets increased by AU$83.8 billion (2.4%) to AU$3,564.6 billion.
  • Cross-invested assets increased by AU$26.6 billion (5.4%) to AU$523.2 billion.
  • Unconsolidated assets increased by AU$110.4 billion (2.8%) to AU$4,087.7 billion.
