4DS Achieves Key Milestone with Completion of Fifth Platform Lot.

4DS Memory Limited (ASX: 4DS) has completed the testing and characterization of its Fifth Platform Lot, marking a significant milestone in advancing its ReRAM technology. The Fifth Platform Lot was designed to optimize the construction of memory cell arrays and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing the company’s first 20nm memory cell array, which will be incorporated into the Sixth Platform Lot. This development is critical in scaling down from 60nm to 20nm cells, achieving a ninefold reduction in area.

Key advancements include process tuning for 20nm cell patterning and etching, adjustments to advanced memory stacks, and optimized integration of post-patterning backend processes. These refinements enhance the feasibility of constructing 20nm memory cells and position the Sixth Platform Lot as a groundbreaking step in 4DS’ technology roadmap. If successful, the Sixth Platform Lot will establish 4DS’ Interface Switching ReRAM as a potential generational memory, with manufacturing and analysis expected in 1H 2025.
