ASX/200 Closed Lower by 0.87%, Dragged Down by Utilities

By the end of the trading session on 18 October 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed lower by 0.87% and settled at 8,283.20. All of the 11 sectors ended lower along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Utilities and A-REIT are the top-losing sectors, losing 3.49% and 1.97% in their index value.

Perpectual Limited (ASX: PPT) and Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: TLX) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 4.631% and 4.571% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Flight Centre Travel Group Limited  (ASX: FLT) and Corporate Travel Management Limited (ASX: CTD) went down by 20.444% and 9.505% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
