ASX/200 Closed Higher by 1.67%, Lifted by Financial

By the end of the trading session on 23 December 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 1.67% and settled at 8,201.60. All 11 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Financial and Consumer Discretionary  are the top-gaining sectors, gaining 2.38% and 2.30% in their index value.

Deep Yellow Limited (ASX: DYL) and Polynovo Limited (ASX: PNV) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 6.976% and 5.641% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Clarity Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: CU6) and Arcadium Lithium Limited (ASX: LTM) went down by 7.253% and 1.531% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
