ASX/200 Closed Higher by 0.40%, Lifted by Information Technology

By the end of the trading session on 05 September 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.40% and settled at 7,982.40. Out of 11 sectors, 07 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Information Technology and A-REIT are the top- gaining sectors, gaining 2.31% and 1.70% in their index value. On the other hand, Energy and Utilities are the top-losing sectors, losing 3.91% and 1.71% in their index value.

NextDC Limited (ASX: NXT) and Red 5 Limited (ASX: RED) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 8.214% and 6.896% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Coronado Global Limited (ASX: CRN) and Challenger Limited (ASX: CGF) went down by 16.439% and 11.000% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
