ASX/200 Closed Higher by 0.24%, Lifted by A-REIT

By the end of the trading session on 24 December 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.24% and settled at 8,220.00. Out of 11 sectors, 08 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

A-REIT and Healthcare are the top-gaining sectors, gaining 0.82% and 0.81% in their index value. On the other hand, Materials and Industrials are the top-losing sectors, losing 0.33% and 0.10% in their index value.

Arcadium Lithium Limited (ASX: LTM) and Megaport Limited (ASX: MP1) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 6.994% and 3.908% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Clarity Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: CU6) and West African Resources Limited (ASX: WAF) went down by 5.214% and 4.319% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
