ASX/200 Closed Higher by 0.01%, Lifted by Utilities

By the end of the trading session on 18 September 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.01% and settled at 8,142.10. Out of 11 sectors, 05 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Utilities and Energy are the top- gaining sectors, gaining 1.26% and 0.69% in their index value. Whereas, Materials and Healthcare are the top-losing sectors, losing 0.56% and 0.43% in their index value.

EVT Limited (ASX: EVT) and New Hope Corporation Limited (ASX: NHC) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 5.033% and 4.629% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Telix Pharmacy Limited (ASX: TLX) and HMC Capital Limited (ASX: HMC) went down by 3.514% and 3.226% respectively are the top-losing stocks.
