Zijin Mining Invests AU$5 million in Strickland Metals via Strategic Placement

Strickland Metals Limited (ASX: STK) has secured a binding commitment from Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd. for a strategic AU$5 million private placement. The company will acquire 54,945,055 shares at AU$0.091 per share, giving Zijin an approximate 2.4% stake in Strickland. Proceeds from the placement will strengthen Strickland’s balance sheet and support its extensive exploration programs, particularly at the 7.4Moz AuEq Rogozna Project in Serbia and the Yandal Gold Project in Western Australia. Managing Director Paul L’Herpiniere welcomed the partnership, highlighting Zijin’s global stature and strong presence in Serbia as a major copper-gold operator. The funding enhances Strickland’s ability to accelerate exploration, with six rigs already active at Rogozna, advancing its goal of developing a world-class gold-copper asset.
