WAM Capital Delivers Strong Performance with AU$208.7 million Profit and 775 cps Dividend.

WAM Capital Limited (ASX: WAM) reported a 14.9% portfolio increase in the six months to 31 December 2024, outperforming the S&P/ASX All Ordinaries Accumulation Index by 8.0% and the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Accumulation Index by 9.4%. For the 2024 calendar year, the portfolio surged 30.2%, significantly exceeding benchmark indices. 

This strong performance contributed to a 40.3% rise in operating profit before tax to AU$208.7 million and a 40.6% rise in after-tax profit to AU$149.8 million. The Board declared a 7.75 cents per share interim dividend, partially franked at 60%, payable on 30 April 2025, offering an annualised yield of 9.6%. Lead Portfolio Manager Oscar Oberg remains optimistic about 2025, citing a favourable interest rate environment and continued investment opportunities.
