Vonex Limited (ASX: VN8) has issued a letter to Swoop Holdings Limited’s Chair, James Spenceley, expressing concern over the lack of a formal, binding acquisition offer from Swoop following its initial non-binding offer submitted on September 5, 2024. Despite Swoop’s stated intention to pursue a takeover, no further updates have been provided regarding the timing or financing status of a bidder’s statement. This delay leaves Vonex shareholders potentially without a viable alternative to the unconditional on-market takeover offer made by MaxoTel at 4.4 cents per share, which has been recommended by the Vonex board.
Vonex has posed several key questions to Swoop, including queries about the offer structure, financing conditions, and strategic plans, urging Swoop to clarify its intentions and prevent shareholder uncertainty.
