Valor Resources Limited (ASX: VAL) has expanded its exploration activities around Canada's Athabasca Basin by acquiring 1325020 B.C. Ltd and its strategic claim package. This acquisition includes a 500km2 claim package surrounding the Athabasca Basin, strengthening Valor's position in a region known for its world-class uranium deposits. The acquired portfolio comprises the 160km2 Pring Lake claim package, which adjoins Valor's existing Surprise Creek Uranium Copper Project, as well as the Athlodge claim located 20km north of Uranium City, the 198km2 SYME claim package, and the 136km2 Jahala claim package.
Historical exploration on the Pring Lake claims has yielded encouraging results, including up to 5.44% U3O8 at the BOBClaims uranium occurrence, and several copper and base metal occurrences. These findings align with the style of mineralization present in Valor's Surprise Creek Project. The Athlodge claim is situated near Valor's Surprise Creek Fault prospect, where uranium mineralization has been identified over a 500m strike extent.
