Unlocking Lithium Potential: FAUs Strategic Acquisition in Ghana

Feb 19, 2024

First Au Limited (ASX: FAU) has secured a 100% interest in six granted tenements covering 898 km² in Ghana, near Atlantic Lithium's Ewoyaa deposit. Geological assessments suggest parallels with Ewoyaa, indicating potential for a major lithium deposit. The project benefits from prime infrastructure and government support for mining and renewable energy initiatives. This aligns with FAU's goal to capitalize on the growing demand for lithium amid the global energy transition.

CEO Ryan Skeen highlights the strategic importance of the acquisition. The project's geological features resemble known lithium deposits, promising significant mineralization potential. FAU plans a comprehensive exploration program focusing on geological mapping and soil geochemistry to identify high-potential areas for drilling. This move positions FAU to play a key role in supplying lithium for the green energy sector.
