Trek Metals Limited (ASX: TKM) has acquired a substantial greenfield exploration opportunity in Western Australia's Kimberley Region, known as the Christmas Creek Project. This district-scale prospect for gold and rare earths, located southwest of Halls Creek, was part of Newmont Exploration Pty Ltd's global exploration portfolio before being rebalanced back to Archer X Pty Ltd ("Archer").
Trek has secured 100% of Archer's issued capital, covering an expansive area of 1,183km², including four granted Exploration Licences and one application. The site features confirmed bedrock gold mineralization at prospects like Martin and Coogan, with promising intersections such as 7m @ 4.90g/t Au and 2m @ 9.65g/t Au at Martin. The project also holds significant multi-elemental exploration potential, notably in rare earths, adjacent to RareX's Cummins Range REE Project, making it a compelling opportunity for further exploration and development.
