Ardea Resources Limited (ASX: ARL) shares an update on the progress of the Cooperation Agreement with Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd (SMM) and Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) to establish a 50:50 joint venture to develop the Kalgoorlie Nickel Project – Goongarrie Hub. This collaboration represents a significant milestone in Critical Minerals collaboration between Australia and Japan.
It announces that the Australian Foreign Investment Review Board has approved the Consortium’s investment in the Transaction. Additionally, the Consortium has obtained merger control clearance from the Korea Fair Trade Commission, fulfilling two critical conditions precedent to the Cooperation Agreement. These successful approvals are a testament to the soundness of the project and should instill confidence in its stakeholders. Progress is well underway on the KNP—Goongarrie Hub Definitive Feasibility Study, supported by AU$ 12 million in funding from SMM.
