TasFoods Betta Milk and Meander Valley Dairy Sale to Bega Cheese Gets ACCC Approval

TasFoods Limited (ASX: TFL) has received Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) approval for the sale of Betta Milk and Meander Valley Dairy businesses to Bega Cheese Limited (ASX: BGA). The ACCC's non-objection allows for the acquisition, including businesses and specified assets, to proceed as outlined in the announcement on August 28, 2023.

The deal encompasses a perpetual, royalty-free license for Pyengana Dairy brand usage for milk and cream products in Australia. TasFoods anticipates completing the remaining conditions precedent shortly, with the transaction expected to conclude by the end of this calendar year. Bega's acquisition of these iconic Tasmanian brands ensures their continued availability to consumers.
