Superior Resources Limited (ASX: SPQ) provided an exciting update on its inaugural drilling initiative at Cockie Creek Prospect, a component of the Greenvale Project where the company holds full ownership. The maiden diamond drilling endeavor is advancing rapidly, marking the completion of the first quarter of Resource definition boreholes. These shorter holes, reaching depths of up to 300m, offer insights into the mineralization system prior to deeper exploratory drilling.
Preliminary findings from initial holes have unveiled an expanded scope of copper mineralization, including a hitherto undisclosed high-grade bornite zone outside the historic Mineral Resource limits. This bornite, associated with potassic alteration, holds potential significance within copper porphyry systems. With objectives ranging from establishing a compliant Mineral Resource Estimate to unearthing expansive porphyry Cu-Au-Mo mineralization, the project promises substantial discovery prospects.
