Sunshine Metals Limited has commenced drilling at Truncheon and Highway East

Sunshine Metals Limited (ASX: SHN) announced the commencement of a 9-hole RC drill program spanning 1,780 meters at Truncheon and Highway East as part of the Ravenswood Consolidated Project. These targets are strategically positioned just 2.5km from the historic Highway Reward mine, a location that significantly enhances the potential for successful exploration and discovery, given its impressive production of 3.9 million tons at 5.4% Cu and 1.1g/t Au.

The company is excited to embark on this exploration drilling venture in the vicinity of the copper-gold rich Highway-Reward mine. The history of the Highway Reward mine is remarkable, with early drilling intersections yielding astonishing results, including 48m @ 11.92% Cu, 1.48g/t Au, 24m @ 18.36% Cu, 3.30g/t Au, and 10.6m @ 4.69% Cu. The lack of exploration in the Highway district since 2005 has created a unique opportunity, and recent IP surveys and soil sampling by Sunshine have reignited the potential of this area. This presents an incredible opportunity for Sunshine to uncover the untapped gold potential in this area.
