Dental service organization, Pacific Smiles Group (ASX: PSQ), reported its financial results for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. The company's focus on operational efficiency and increased chair utilization in the post-pandemic period led to substantial growth. Patient fees surged by 19.5% to AU$270.5 million compared to the prior year, supported by a 14.9% increase in same-center patient fees.
Group revenue rose by 18.5% to AU$165.3 million year-on-year, driving underlying EBITDA up by 113.9% to AU$24.1 million. Pacific Smiles achieved a significant turnaround, reporting an underlying NPAT of AU$4.5 million after a net loss of AU$3.2 million in the previous year. This growth allowed the company to resume a final dividend of 2.27 cents per share, totaling 2.62 cents per share for FY23. The company's strategy of optimizing existing centers and controlling costs contributed to the improved financial outcomes.
