Streamplay Studio Limited (ASX: SP8) has enhanced its partnership with MTN South Africa by updating their agreement to extend the service term and increase revenue shares and marketing contributions. Under the new terms, effective from April 2024, Streamplay will receive a higher revenue share of 60% from MTN Arena, along with a doubled marketing growth incentive from MTN, now at 10%. This adjustment reflects the continued investment in the platforms and aims to further drive growth and user engagement.
The partnership also introduces alternative billing methods, allowing Streamplay to retain 100% of the revenue generated through these channels. Importantly, both MTN Arena and Arena Plus platforms will now be accessible to all South Africans, not just MTN subscribers, significantly expanding the potential user base. Additionally, the launch of MTN Arena 2.0 will feature upgraded technology and new gaming features to enhance user experience and engagement.
