Steamships Announces Leadership Change

Steamships Trading Company Limited (ASX: SST) will appoint Christopher Keith Daniells as Director and Managing Director, effective 1 July 2024. Daniells, currently Chief Operating Officer, joined Steamships in December 2023. He has been with the Swire Group since 1997, holding senior commercial roles in Hong Kong, Australia, Italy, and Singapore. His last position was Chief Commercial Officer at Swire Shipping, where he led commercial activities and growth strategy.

Daniells also managed Swire Projects, a heavy-lift shipping business for the energy and resource sector, established in 2022. He has prior experience with Steamships, having worked in Papua New Guinea from 1998 to 2000. The current Managing Director, Rupert Peter Napier Bray, will resign effective 1 July 2024, to assume a new role within the Swire Group but will remain for a month to assist Daniells' transition. The board will approve these changes on 13 June 2024.
