St George finalizes strategic lithium project acquisitions in Western Australia

St George Mining Limited (ASX: SGQ) has successfully obtained seven prospective lithium projects in Western Australia. These projects are now 100% owned by St George through its subsidiary, Lithium Star Pty Ltd, covering 653km2. Strategically located near established spodumene-producing lithium mines and high-grade lithium deposits, these acquisitions enhance the company's lithium asset portfolio.

In 2023, St George is set to prioritize exploration in key areas. The Split Rocks Project, situated near the Earl Grey lithium deposit owned by Covalent Lithium (a joint venture of Wesfarmers and SQM), holds significant potential. Moreover, the Myuna Rocks Project, near Allkem's operating Mt Cattlin Mine, adds further promise. The acquisitions contribute to St George's exceptional portfolio of high-quality lithium assets in Western Australia, renowned as a premier hard-rock lithium destination worldwide.
