Southern Cross Electrical Engineering received contracts worth AU$50 million

Synergy has awarded a AU$50 million contract to Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (ASX: SXE) subsidiary SCEE Electrical for the 330kV Switchyard Package of the Collie Battery Energy Storage System (CBESS 1). With this contract modification, SCEE's project value is now roughly $210 million.

The construction of a control room, transformers, circuit breakers, and other structural components is part of the Switchyard project, which is expected to be finished in Q2 2025 and incorporated into the Western Power network. Graeme Dunn, Managing Director of SCEE Group, acknowledged the increasing number of battery projects that are helping Australia achieve its net zero emissions goals while expressing his happiness at the prize.
