Sezzle Inc. provided its financial result for the quarter ended 31 March 2023

For the period ended 31 March 2023, Sezzle Inc. updated its financial results as follows:

• Despite the seasonal QoQ fall in UMS from the holiday season in the 4QFY22, Total Income for the 1QFY23 increased by 25.5% YoY to US$34.7 million from US$27.6 million, representing 9.4% of Underlying Merchant Sales (UMS), a new quarterly high.
• During the quarter, weekly volume through Sezzle's marketplace averaged 30% of overall traffic, up from 13% in the previous year's first quarter.
• Due to FY22 strategic actions like renegotiating and off boarding unprofitable merchants and improving credit risk, and competition, 1QFY23 UMS decreased 17.9% YoY to US$369.8 million.
• For the third consecutive quarter, NON-GAAP adjusted EBTDA and EBITDA were positive at US$4.9 million and US$8.3 million in 1QFY23 due to top-line growth, improved unit economics, and a more effective operational structure.
