Scorpion Minerals Limited (ASX: SCN) has announced significant assay results from its RC drilling campaign at the Youanmi Lithium Project in Western Australia. The results indicate high-grade lithium mineralization, including intersections such as 5m at 1.13% Li2O from 79m, 9m at 0.90% Li2O from 108m, and 6m at 0.92% Li2O from 113m. Highly concentrated lithium mineralization, with grades as high as 2.36% Li2O, has been discovered in stacked LCT pegmatites.
These findings confirm the presence of shallow east dipping LCT pegmatites along a 1000m stretch within the central corridor, necessitating immediate infill drilling. The assays also demonstrate mineralized pegmatites at depths of up to 175 meters below the surface, with open potential for further exploration. Scorpion Minerals plans to conduct additional RC and diamond drilling, geological mapping, soil geochemistry, and XRD mineral analysis to further explore and evaluate lithium targets.
