Sayona Mining successfully produces Lithium concentrate

Sayona Mining Limited (ASX: SYA) has achieved a major accomplishment in producing the first spodumene (lithium) concentrate at their primary North American Lithium (NAL) operation situated in Québec, Canada. This achievement is an important step towards NAL's restart. Approximately 70 tonnes of lithium concentrate has been produced, and the commissioning process is progressing as planned. The first saleable concentrate is expected to be produced shortly.

The restart of NAL is progressing as planned and under budget, which is noteworthy given the rising demand for the key battery metal from North America's rapidly expanding EV and battery industry. NAL is expected to become the most significant source of hard rock lithium production in North America, contributing to the development of a local battery sector in Quebec, from mining to manufacturing.
