Resonance Health Advances MRI Liver Fibrosis Platform Amid Growing MASH Opportunity

Resonance Health Ltd (ASX: RHT) is strengthening its position in the medical imaging sector through the development of a non-invasive MRI-based liver fibrosis assessment device aimed at providing a viable alternative to traditional liver biopsy. The technology is being validated through the DEVIMLA clinical study and is designed to deliver accurate fibrosis and inflammation measurements using standard MRI equipment without the need for contrast agents or specialised hardware. The company believes the solution could address a significant unmet need in chronic liver disease diagnostics, supported by the growing prevalence of liver disorders and increasing demand for non-invasive monitoring tools.

The initiative is aligned with expanding opportunities in the MASH (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis) and GLP-1 therapeutic markets, where imaging-based endpoints are becoming increasingly important. Resonance Health also continues to leverage its established portfolio, including FerriScan®, HepaFatScan®, and body-composition analysis services, while benefiting from a global network of over 400 MRI sites across 48 countries. The company expects its liver fibrosis platform to support future growth alongside its profitable Software-as-a-Medical-Device and clinical trials businesses, with commercialisation targeted in the coming years.
