Red Sky Energy has signed a significant contract for Block 6/24

Red Sky Energy (ASX: ROG) announced the signing of a Risk Service Contract for offshore Block 6/24 in Angola in partnership with ACREP Exploração Petrolífera SA and Sonangol E&P. This marks Red Sky’s entry into Angola, a strategic milestone in its growth journey. Block 6/24, secured through direct negotiations with ANPG, offers promising resource potential, including the Cegonha oil field discovered among nine previously drilled wells. Geological and geophysical studies are underway to confirm resources and unlock early production opportunities, and several parties have expressed interest in financing 100% of the project.

This acquisition enhances Red Sky’s portfolio, complementing its Innamincka gas and Killanoola oil projects in South Australia while diversifying its asset base geographically and by resource type. The move aligns with Red Sky’s strategy to pursue near-production assets and drive sustainable growth.
