RBR Group Limited (ASX: RBR) acknowledges recent media reports confirming the US Export-Import Bank's approval of a nearly US$5 billion loan for the Mozambique LNG Project, operated by TotalEnergies. This marks a significant step toward revitalizing the project, positioning Mozambique as a key LNG producer. ExxonMobil is progressing with its Rovuma LNG project, with a final investment decision expected in early 2026 and significant contracts anticipated in June 2025.
RBR Chairman Ian Macpherson highlighted the increasing commercial activity surrounding LNG projects, which aligns with RBR's expertise in camp construction, training, and labour hire. With the potential lifting of force majeure and resumption of development work, RBR's Mozambique-based team remains well-positioned to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
