Rapid Lithium Limited (ASX: RLL) has signed a binding term sheet to acquire the Prophet River Gallium-Germanium Project from Broadstone Resources Corporation in British Columbia, Canada. The project encompasses 2,110 hectares, including the historic Cay Mine, targeting zinc, germanium, and gallium. Prior exploration has revealed high-grade mineralization, with samples reporting up to 22.69% zinc, 40 g/t gallium, and 1,500 ppm germanium, among the highest recorded globally. The transaction, valued at CAD$130,000 plus shares and options, is subject to shareholder approval and due diligence.

This acquisition complements Rapid Lithium’s North American critical minerals portfolio, addressing supply disruptions caused by China’s export ban on gallium and germanium, which dominate global production. These strategic metals, essential for technology sectors, have seen significant price increases, doubling since 2021. The Prophet River Project’s proximity to infrastructure enhances its development potential, aligning with Rapid Lithium’s goal to be a leading supplier of critical minerals.
