Polymetals (ASX: POL) is making significant strides in restarting production at the Endeavor Silver Zinc Mine in the Cobar Basin, NSW. Since acquiring the mine in August 2024, the company has secured full project financing, initiated redevelopment, and assembled an owner-operator mining fleet. Mining production and mill commissioning are set for May and June 2025, marking a significant milestone for Australia’s next silver and zinc producer. The Endeavor mine, boasting 92Moz of silver and 2.6Mt of zinc historically mined, has 16Mt remaining mineral resources.
With a 10-year mine plan targeting early cash flow, the operation is projected to generate AU$1.856 billion in revenue, with a pre-tax free cash flow of AU$609 million. Exploration efforts are also underway to expand reserves and extend mine life. With infrastructure in place, strategic leadership, and a strong commitment to operational efficiency, Polymetals is well-positioned to become a leading player in the Australian mining sector.
