Perenti entered to a new 5-year contract at the Subika underground mine

Through its UMA joint venture, Perenti Limited's (ASX: PRN) subsidiary African Underground Mining Services has received a new contract worth approximately AU$630 million for 60 months at the Newmont Subika underground gold mine in Ghana. UMA is a 70:30 joint venture between Rocksure International, a regional civil and mining contractor in Ghana, and Perenti's subsidiary AUMS.

Perenti will carry out all underground development and production activities, diamond drilling, and related support services at the Subika Underground Mine, situated around 310 kilometers northwest of Accra, Ghana, under the contract's stipulations. As Per the terms of the new contract, Newmont will also purchase the project's existing fleet of subterranean machinery and will be in charge of making any additional fleet purchases that may be necessary.
