Patriot Battery Metals Inc. (ASX: PMT) announces a substantial Exploration Target for its 100%-owned Shaakichiuwaanaan Property in Quebec, Canada. This target, approximately 146 to 231 million tonnes at 1.0 to 1.5% Li₂O, highlights the potential for additional tonnage beyond the current Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). The Exploration Target is based on surface rock samples, outcrop mapping, drill hole logs, geophysical surveys, and remote sensing data.
BBA Engineering Ltd., an independent consultant, conducted the analysis. The project, featuring eight lithium pegmatite clusters, has only three significantly drilled areas, leaving considerable potential for future discoveries. The property is accessible year-round and close to significant powerline infrastructure. This Exploration Target underscores the project's global significance and district-scale lithium potential. Drilling to validate the target is planned to commence in 2025.
