Opportunity to Acquire Exploration Licenses in the Mumbwa Region

Patriot Lithium Limited (ASX: PAT) has secured an option agreement to acquire a 90% interest in three large-scale exploration licences in the copper-rich Mumbwa Region, Central Province, Zambia. This acquisition significantly expands Patriot’s footprint, making it one of the largest landholders in the Mumbwa copper district. The newly acquired 44,961-hectare (450 km) licences extend 45 km of contiguous strike, covering key regional structures that host copper mineralization.

Several historic artisanal copper mines have already been identified within the licence area, reinforcing its exploration potential. The licences share boundaries with Patriot’s Kitumba Copper Project and Katwaro Copper Project, increasing the company’s total exploration holding in the district to 70,472 hectares. This expansion is crucial as it surrounds Katwaro 28424, where recent exploration uncovered high-grade copper-gold assays. Additionally, parallel structures to the Katwaro Copper Pit, including another artisanal pit 5.2 km away, have been identified, presenting significant exploration upside for future copper discoveries.
