Nickel Industries Secures Promising Sampala Project

Nickel Industries Limited (ASX: NIC) has signed Conditional Share Purchase Agreements (CSPA) to acquire three advanced nickel-cobalt projects, collectively known as the Sampala Project, in Indonesia. Covering 6,654 hectares, the project includes 187 million dry metric tonnes of mineral resources with 1.2% nickel and 0.09% cobalt, equating to 2.3 million tonnes of nickel and 0.2 million tonnes of cobalt. Located near the company’s existing refining operations within the Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP), the acquisition strengthens Nickel Industries’ resource base, positioning it as a major nickel owner. The majority of acquisition payments are anticipated in 2026, with project development costs expected to be on par with existing operations.
