NHC Quarterly Activity Report for April 2023

New Hope Corporation Limited (ASX: NHC) has announced quarterly operations as an Underlying EBITDA of AU$448.1 million for the quarter, an increase of 14.8% over the January 2023 quarter and a 20.6% increase over the same quarter last year. The Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing, and Water's internal evaluation, which was completed on March 28, 2023, confirmed the decision to issue the Associated Water Licence at New Acland.

Bengalla coal sales were 2.15 Mt during the quarter, up 46.9% from the January 2023 period.

As of 28 April 2023, 17.0 million ordinary shares had been purchased for AU$92.5 million since the start of the on-market share buy-back program. Following the payment of the FY23 Interim and Special Dividend, which returned AU$348.8 million to shareholders on 3 May 2023, the Company has closing cash and cash equivalents of AU$827.0 million.
