Midas Minerals Limited (ASX: MM1) a prominent mining company, has finalized a binding agreement to earn an 80% ownership in a significant portion of Gold Terra Resource Corp.'s Yellowknife project, also known as the Yellowknife Lithium Project (YLP). Situated just outside Yellowknife City in Canada's Northwest Territories, the YLP encompasses three mineral claim blocks spanning a vast area of 718km. These claim blocks contain numerous pegmatites associated with fertile granite intrusions.
Through this deal, Midas gains access to an expansive permitted claim area and a comprehensive exploration data library, all within a region known for its significant spodumene reserves. Notably, the company joins the ranks of other organizations, such as Li-FT Power and Patriot Battery Metals/Loyal Lithium JV, engaged in lithium projects in close proximity to the YLP. It has already initiated field exploration activities, collecting 100 samples for analysis, while further mapping and sampling are planned to advance the project.
