Mid-Market: S&P/ASX 200 Trading Higher By 0.55%; CKF Gained By More Than 7%

On 28 November 2023, at AEDT 12:30 PM, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 is trading higher today, gaining 38.60 points or 0.55%, and is currently trading at 7,026.40 levels. Out of 11 sectors, 10 sectors are trading higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

The A-REIT and Financials sectors are the top 2 gaining sectors, gaining 1.21% and 0.76% in their index values. On the other hand, the Energy sector is the only losing sector, declining 0.63% in its index value.

Collins Food Limited (ASX: CKF) and Link Administration Holdings Limited (ASX: LNK) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 7.227% and 5.004% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Weebit Nano Ltd (ASX: WBT) and Johns Lyng Group Limited (ASX: JLG) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 3.514% and 1.558% in their stock prices.

Factors influencing the market-

• Imugene Limited’s shares are trading higher on news that it has been granted Fast Track designation from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the clinical evaluation of its metastatic advanced solid tumors program against a new form of cancer.
• Origin Energy declined after a power shortage on a loaded LNG ship on Curtis Island prevented it from leaving the terminal, forcing the company to delay its delivery schedule for next year.
• The Australian Dollar extended gains, reaching a four-month high, buoyed by a weaker US greenback on expectations that the Federal Reserve could start cutting interest rates by the first half of next year.
• Oil prices rose in Asian trade as media reports suggested that the OPEC+ planned to extend or even deepen its ongoing production cuts at a meeting later this week.
• The Dow has closed down by 0.16%, the S&P 500 down by 0.20%, and the NASDAQ ended lower by 0.07%.
• Hang Seng is down by 0.42%, and FTSE 100 is down by 0.37%
