Liontown Resources Limited (ASX: LTR) has recently announced the successful award of the comprehensive contract for the Structural, Mechanical, Piping (SMP), and Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) aspects of the vertically integrated wet plant to Monadelphous Group Limited (Monadelphous). This contract holds an estimated value of approximately AU$100 million and is set to span over a duration of nine months.
The selection of Monadelphous, a prominent Tier-1 engineering and construction firm, paves the way for an integrated construction approach for the crucial wet plant phase. Notably, the contract, valued at around AU$100 million, encompasses carbon steel pipe fabrication and is the ultimate major construction contract granted for the Kathleen Valley project. Monadelphous had already commenced work under a Letter of Intent and initiated site mobilization in August, adhering to a staged contractual award approach.
