Liontown Resources Limited announced Kathleen Valley project update

Liontown Resources Limited (ASX: LTR) provided an update on its 100%-owned Kathleen Valley Lithium Project development progress, key outcomes, and scope changes stemming from an ongoing optimization program:

• The plant capacity is designed to provide a 20% increase in the primary plant throughput rate to 3Mtpa, driving increased SC6.0 production to take advantage of strong short- and medium-term forecast lithium pricing.
• Optimisations and scope adjustments, combined with continuous macro-level and industry-wide cost escalation, have resulted in a revised capital estimate of AU$895 million to first production comprising AU$40 million in contingency.
• The project remains on track for the first production from the process plant in mid-2024, with prudent scope adjustments made early in the construction schedule to further de-risk and maintain this timing.
• The company has spent AU$73 million on the project to date, with AU$685 million remaining funds, including AU$385 million in cash reserves and AU$300 million via a debt facility.
