Leeuwin Metals Concludes Phase One Drilling at Marda Gold Project Sets Stage for Extensive 2025 Campaign

Leeuwin Metals Ltd (ASX: LM1) has successfully completed the first phase of its maiden RC drilling program at the Marda Gold Project in Western Australia, completing around 2,000 metres of drilling at Marda Central. This initial campaign targeted shallow, high-grade gold zones adjacent to historical open pits and forms part of a broader 10,000m drilling initiative planned for 2025. The company now awaits assay results, expected within 3–6 weeks, which will inform the next phase of exploration targeting deeper and strike extensions.Historical drilling review has highlighted unmined gold mineralisation over a 3km strike, reinforcing the project’s strong potential. Key past intercepts include 62m @ 1.94g/t Au and 11m @ 6.9g/t Au. Leeuwin is also reviewing additional brownfield areas such as Evanston and King Brown. With excellent infrastructure and location advantages, Marda is positioned as a promising growth asset in Leeuwin’s expanding exploration portfolio.
